EYFS have been so busy learning about themselves and others including the different festivals we all celebrate. We looked at Diwali and decorated hands in Mendhi patterns, read the story of Rana and Sita and decorated diva lamps.

For fireworks we talked about fire safety and how to stay safe with fireworks. We used glitter, paint and black paper to make our firework pictures. Also we learnt about Bonfire Night and who Guy Fawkes was.

For the week of Remembrance we decorated poppies and learnt about what the different coloured Poppies represent. We also had a two minute silence where we watched
CBeebies – Poppies (bbc.co.uk) as a mark of respect.

We wore odd socks to celebrate Anti-Bullying and World Kindness day and this showed us we are all different, unique and special.

To celebrate Children in Need we did a Pudsey bear collage and made Pudsey masks and talked about what they are fundraising for.

Pine class had their first class assembly and they were amazing! Thank you to the Pine class parents who were able to come and support the children by watching them and also supporting them with practicing their lines at home. We were so proud of how confidently they spoke and how beautiful they sang.

Next year it will be Conker and Acorn’s turn to show you their class assembly so watch this space!

Christmas craft morning was a great success.

Thank you to those parents that were able to come and help the children with their crafts and these will be on sale at the Christmas Bazaar this Friday 9th December 2022.

Finally, we cannot wait to perform our Whoops-a-daisy Angel nativity to you all next week, the children have practiced so hard and have been absolutely fantastic in their rehearsals.

All the staff in EYFS would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and we cannot wait to see you all back on Wednesday 4th January 2023.
