Outdoor learning in Early Years!

Now the weather has started to improve we are keen to take our learning outside and enjoy the Great British summer! We have been working to improve our environment and the children have loved exploring our new construction area. Thank you to any parents who have contributed to our resources following a wish list sent out recently.

Little Red Riding Hood

This week in our English lessons the children have been learning the story of Little Red Riding Hood. They have enjoyed role playing in Granny’s cottage and retelling the story to their friends. We also had a surprise visit from Little Red Riding Hood and the children had the opportunity to ask her questions about where she was going. Next, they offered her advice about how to stay safe!

King Charles’ Coronation

The children were very excited to learn about the Royal family in preparation for the Kings Coronation. They completed a number of activities including making crowns, bunting and flags to decorate our classrooms. To finish the week on a high the children were lucky enough to come to school wearing red, white and blue and then take part in our very own tea party!
