We’ve had a fantastic year with your children and can’t believe that the year is almost over. Here are a few snapshots of our recent learning.
The Gruffalo
The children have really enjoyed learning about the Gruffalo. We went on a walk through the woods to find all the characters from the story.
Refugee Week
Last week we learned all about Refugees. We discussed what this word means and read the story of Paddington who came from darkest Peru on a boat to live in England. The children created some wonderful writing related to this.
People who help us
We have continued to learn about people who help us and were very fortunate to be visited by the police. They spoke with the children about how they serve our community. We are looking forward to joining Little Gems Nursery to learn about how to look after our teeth.
Sun Safety
In preparation for the summer holidays (and hopefully good weather) we have been talking about how to stay safe in the sun. We have taught the children that they need to
- Wear a hat
- Apply sun cream
- Drink plenty of water
- Stay in the shade when possible
