Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a very busy two weeks in school and I am sure everyone is looking forward to a well earned rest and recharge over half term. Nature is really turning on a show at the moment. Our school allotments are thriving with nutritious goods, the local parks are full of amazing colours. Let’s hope the good weather continues at half term.

Well done to our Year 6 pupils who managed the challenges of end of Key Stage assessments positively and thank you to the staff who prepared and supported them throughout the week.

The children had their class photos last week in school, all the details about purchasing these have been sent to parents and carers. Thank you to our office staff for organising the logistics of school photo day.

Year 1 and Year 3 have had trips to Whipsnade Zoo. The children and staff were treated to amazing weather and the animals were all enjoying the sunshine as well. Thank you to the staff for organising these opportunities.

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the Quad Kids Athletics event at Stockwood Park and their performances were exceptional. Well done to all involved and thank you to our organisers.

Thank you to the parents and carers who were able to join the consultation meeting for the proposed SEMH Provision at Wigmore. Your feedback is important so please respond to the consultation.

ATTEND TO ACHIEVE!

At Wigmore we have to aim to be here every day! Excellent attendance is 97% or above. There are strong links between good attendance and good progress in school, both academically and socially.  We want to be the best we can possibly be and reach our school target of 97%. We have to make a concerted effort in order to improve attendance and punctuality.

Every minute of every lesson counts!

Be in to win!

Be on time and in school every day!
