Maths
This half term we have been looking at measuring length. Each class has been involved in exciting practical lessons such as answering the question ‘does your height affect how far you can jump’. The children have loved using metre sticks, measuring tapes and rulers to measure objects and perimeters accurately. We have also been outside measuring the perimeter of the field using trundle wheels. In class, the children have been showing a great understanding of conversion. We have been converting centimetres into millimetres and centimetres into metres.
Performance
We definitely have some stars in the making in Year 3. Our performance of ‘Jill and Fred’s most Hysterical Historical Adventure’ is ready for audiences. The children and staff are excited to welcome you all to the big hall on Tuesday 29th of March or Wednesday 30th of March. The runtime is roughly an hour and a half. An amazing amount of hard work has been put into this production. Lines were promptly memorized, songs were quickly learnt and the teachers couldn’t be prouder! It has helped our young people immensely with their confidence and we are sure that you will enjoy it. We can’t wait to see you all there!
