Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an absolutely phenomenal few weeks at Wigmore. Our school community has been buzzing with energy, learning, and adventure, and I am incredibly proud of everything our pupils, staff, and families have achieved together.
Here are just a few of the fantastic highlights from across the school:
🚴♂️ Pedalling to Success: Bikeability
A huge congratulations to our pupils who completed their Level 2 Bikeability training recently. They showed fantastic focus and determination, learning vital road safety skills that will help them stay safe and confident on two wheels.
🤝 Strengthening Connections: The Linking Network
Our Year 5 pupils had a wonderful opportunity to connect with the wider community through the Linking Network initiative, partnering with Wenlock Academy. It has been a joy to watch our Year 5s collaborate, share experiences, and build meaningful friendships with their peers from Wenlock. They represented Wigmore beautifully.
📸 Smiling for the Cameras
It was lovely to see everyone looking so smart and bright for our recent school photos. Thank you for your support in ensuring the children were camera-ready; these photos always capture such special milestones in their school journeys.
🏕️ An Unforgettable Year 4 Camp Night
Adventure was definitely on the agenda for our Year 4 Camp Night! The children showed incredible independence, teamwork, and resilience as they embraced the great outdoors. From camp activities to sleeping away from home, it was a memorable experience that they will talk about for a long time to come.
🔬 Inspiring Young Scientists
Following the success of our recent Science Day, our award winners were treated to a special Science trip. The children had a fantastic time exploring hands-on exhibits and deepening their love for discovery. Who knows—we may well have some future Nobel Prize winners in our midst!
🏃♂️ Going the Distance: Crossing America!
The energy on the school field has been electric as we held our Fun Run Number 2. We are officially on a mission to virtually “cross America” together! The children ran with absolute determination, clocking up serious mileage and showing amazing school spirit.
🥾 Community Spirit: Wembley to Wigmore Walk
It is not just the students putting in the miles! A massive thank you to all the parents, governors, and staff who are lacing up their walking boots for the Wembley to Wigmore Walk tomorrow. It has been a brilliant, challenging event that has truly showcased the strength and togetherness of our school community.
📰 In the News and A Heartfelt Thank You
You may have spotted us recently, as our incredible fundraising efforts caught the attention of the local media, gaining us some well-deserved news coverage!
The sheer effort from everyone involved to raise vital funds for the school has been nothing short of amazing. Whether you have walked, ran, sponsored, or cheered us on from the sidelines, thank you.
We also want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to the local businesses who have generously donated to our school and events recently. Your support makes a tangible difference to the opportunities we can provide for our children.

ATTEND TO ACHIEVE!
At Wigmore we have to aim to be here every day! Excellent attendance is 97% or above. There are strong links between good attendance and good progress in school, both academically and socially. We want to be the best we can possibly be and reach our school target of 97%. We have to make a concerted effort in order to improve attendance and punctuality.
Every minute of every lesson counts!
Be in to win!
Be on time and in school every day!
