Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope everyone is keeping well in the lead up to the Christmas holidays.
Thank you to the parents, carers and children who have been able to join us in school for the following events:
- Christmas Crafts
- Christmas Disco
- Christmas Dinner and fundraising day for Save the Children
Next week we also have some more festive fun events for families with the Key Stage 1 Christmas Carols, Year 3 Percussion Performance and Early Years Jingle and Mingle event.
Huge credit to the staff who have organised the above events for the children to enjoy with their friends and families.
Last week Year 5 also had a fantastic educational visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester. The children and staff had a fantastic day out to consolidate key concepts they have learnt in the science unit on space. Thank you to the adults who organised the trip and well done to the children for representing our school so well on the day.
Well done to Year 3 Aspen class for leading a fantastic sharing assembly this week. Thank you to the adults who organised this and to the parents and carers who were able to attend.
Next week in school we will be saying farewell to Miss Godfrey and Mrs Bashir. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their commitment to the children and families at Wigmore throughout their time with us. We wish them all the best in their new roles.
A few reminders for parents and carers please take a few minutes to complete our survey, your feedback is important to us in order to continue on our improvement journey.
School finishes at 1:30 pm on Friday 19th December and children return to school at 8:45 am on Tuesday 6th January. On behalf of everyone at Wigmore we wish all our families a restful break over the holidays.

ATTEND TO ACHIEVE!
At Wigmore we have to aim to be here every day! Excellent attendance is 97% or above. There are strong links between good attendance and good progress in school, both academically and socially. We want to be the best we can possibly be and reach our school target of 97%. We have to make a concerted effort in order to improve attendance and punctuality.
Every minute of every lesson counts!
Be in to win!
Be on time and in school every day!
